Default New Hand Controls

Some of you may remember I added Cruise to my 2000 E-Glide. I did this by ordering the 2002 Kit and building my own harness. Everything pretty much came out great but I had a question.

Do the 2002 later Tour Bikes with Cruise still retain the throttle friction ****/adjuster?

Reason I'm asking is my 2000 friction screw will not fit on the 2002 controls. There's a threaded hole there for it, but the **** itself is too big around to fit inside the contured cutout. HD parts guy says that all the 2000 Up use the same **** but I find that very difficult to believe because it doesn't fit.

Anyone in the know?

My RK Classic doesn't have it, doesn't need it with cruise. Good job on the install, you'll enjoy it after a while on road, gives your hand a break.

Yep, I didn't know if models with Cruise had it or not. I use it on occassion for warm ups but I can tighten up the choke **** a little for that. HD Cruise instructions show putting it back on, but in the HD Manual it didn't show it. Again, no big deal, just a perfectionist.

Could you use a die and cut it down to fit? Sounds like you could be the only guy on the block to retain the friction screw.

my 2002 RG does not have the screw. I tried to intsall one and could not get it to work as my housing is not threaded.
