Depends on how tall you are. I had an 8" on my Street Glide and it was perfect. I saw over the top put it was tall enough to deflect most of the wind. And I am 5'8". I am considering going with the 6.5" Clearview with recurve on my next SG.

nice to see u back to SG again........wise choice..
I have a 4",6" and an 8" I'm 5'11" and during colder riding I use the 8" with very little problems with wind. The 4" definitely bounces my head around and the 6" is perfect in warm weather.
The one thing I just installed that made a huge difference was the wind baffle that mounts between the front forks. HD # 58520-79TC the best $23 I ever spent. I just got back from a short ride and could tell a big difference even in 40 degree riding.
I opted for the best height that allows visibility above the screen instead of through it in a normal riding position, but still allows me to hunker down in a rain storm. Ya gotta have some wind blowing on ya!!
check out www.sinstatecycle.com they have several choices and are very cheap. I got my shortie windshield from them 2 years ago and I'llreplace it before riding season begins this year as it will scratch when you try getting the bugs off but, its 1/4 the price of some other brands and they have so many choices. I used the 7", I'm 6'1" and with the 7" height, it keeps almost everything off you but the really big bugs.
