Black Dust /Tire change

Rode 200 milesnoticed a lot of Black dust all over the top of the bags and rear fender after changing out the rear tire.Belt and all look good but do belive it is probably from the belt. Getting seated again? Any Thoughts..

I's residue from the new rubber on the belt, that's normal

sorry I maen that's not normal since you didn't change belt. Sounds like the rear wheel is not mounted straight, misaligned and causing your belt to wear trying to stay in the grooves. I would check closely for uneven pattern on your belt

Isn't the belt on an 06 RK self aligning?

Is the dust of a rubber compound or is it an oily consistency? I'd check your air cleaner and see if it has oil in it.

The dust seems to be Rubber and was very noticeable on the cop white bike.This is my first beltdrive so I figured it was everything getting seated.Hope to put another 100 miles on today if we dont have any rain,will report back..
