If the price isn't negotiable, I'd keep looking. The used market is loaded with clean low mileage bikes. Also, dealers charge sales tax. If you buy from aprivate seller, you'll either reduce or eliminatesales tax, depending onstate law.

Nice looking bike and that's probablythe price you'd have to pay at a dealership, otherwise you should be able to purchase it for between 10 to 11 K. There are lots of nice looking later model, lower milage Harleys advertised in the paper every day for 12,500 or less.

Keep looking, there are better deals out there, IMHO.

I bought my 2003 anniv RK Classic with 9,500 miles this past June for 12,300.00. The bike is mint with a lot of upgrades.
That is way too high a price IMHO.

There was an issue with camshaft bearings -- as I recall included the '99s. In most cases, the MOCO may have handled under warranty, but you'll want to be sure thatthe "upgrade"was done. Based on what I see, the price is at least a couple of thou high. But, if it's in "perfect" condition and your heart pulls you to it, do what feels right. ...still, I'd make a "reasonable" offer.

Seems high given the year. 4 years ago I bought a bone stk RK for $10k with only 18243 on the clock. It was EVO and carbed, but still it was 4 years ago. I go and offer $9800 on it. If no neogations then move on. BTW any modifications been done to it? I know cam bearings had issues.

Price seems high. Might want to get a 2000 or newer, I think that's the year that they went to the better brakes and sealed wheel bearings....

At best, worth no more than $9.5K - $10.5K. There are a LOT of others, similar and a couple of years newer, for less than $4K overKBB trade-in value.
