Finally picked her up. My 2008 Street Glide. Alot of you know I had an 06 Street Glide (also Black Pearl) that I traded in last summer for an 07 Road Glide. Figured out the RG wasn't for me so here I am. Back on a Street Glide. And happier than a pig in chit. Just got home after doing our "get aquainted" ride. I have found that I am much more comfortable with the batwing. Dunno what it is but I feel more at home. I will admit that owning the RG taught me some things about how to handle a touring bike. I feel like I am a much better rider due to the miles I logged on it.
A couple of things that I noticed about the 08 is that the ride is so much more smooth with the IDS. It actually feels like it pulls a little harder. Even bone stock. Also there is no more shift clunk. Switching gears is so quiet. Not sure if I like that or not yet.
I'd bet Kunta Kente took less beatings than you have with all the trading!!!!
Nice bike though........Iey Captain Jack Sparrow!
Took a hit last time. This time I didn't take any. Made out pretty damn good actually.
I ALMOST bought the Mirage Orange Roadglide......came within a phone call from commitment, just couldn't pull the trigger. I came from Goldwings and decided I wanted the "traditional" Harley look of the batwing. Been in love ever since.
