Default Speakers Quit

Hi guys I have an 06 ultra and while riding last night my speakers just quit. Was riding with the wife so I checked the head-phones and they work fine. The raidio will come through the head phones but when I switch the selector switch to speakers it doesn't work. I don't even know where to begin, anyone have any ideas? or at least a starting point. Oh it's all stock stereo and none of the externals work. Stereo;s are definetly not my thing.

hmmmm....check the speaker volume. Speaker volume is different from the headset volume, IIRC.

I wonder if the rocker switch might be faulty. Or maybe a wire came loose at the rocker switch??? If all the speakers stopped working, it has to be something common to them. I'll bet you'll find the trouble to be in the wiring. Good luck.

This is a problem that I've had a few times with my 06 flht. I had the radio put in when I bought it, every so often the speakers would begin to cut in and out. First two times it was in the shop for it the dealer told me there was a bare wire in the harness and that was the problem. The 3rd time it happened a different dealer told me they couldn't find a problem with it, however ever since I got it back from them 6 months ago I haven't had a problem.

Well after pulling the outer fairing off and looking for the obvious, I found nothing. So out of frustration I moved the switch back and forth rapidly and hard and the speakers started working. Now everything back together and they work every time. Go figure, anyway thanks for the replies hopefully there was just dirt or something in the switch.
