I must have the biggest head around. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a maker of modular full faced helmets in sizes XXXL and up. I can find XXL here in town, but they are too tight and just plain uncomfortable.
I did a google search and found a few. Figured I'd ask you all, too.
Just today I ordered a Shoei Multitech (xl). According to the Shoei website I should have ordered and xxl but I found an xl in the store and wore it for ten min. or so and it felt good. So I ordered a falt black color and will get it next Wednesday. I told the guy I am wearing in the store for 30 min and if I still do not feel any hot spots I will take it. I have been lookng for a vary long time for a flip up quality helmet. First full face street helmet I have owned since 1969. Try out the Shoei and see what you think, according the web reviews that I did after I order the helmet (wrong sequence, but what the @#$%), some people have said the the same thing I incountered. The smaller then recommended size worked for my big *** head, usually a 7.75" to 7 7/8 ball cap. The are costly so I plan on wearing in the store and making sure it fits the way my excitement about finding a helmet that fits, suggests it does.
I have 2 helmets both of them are XXL, I was at a M/C show this last friday and found a helmet made in Italy that was a large and fit me fine. I lost the card they gave me but if I rember the name I will let you know.
i have a multitech really like it for a modular helmet. check with helmet city they should be able to help you out. HJC, Scorpion, Shoie all show they make a xxxl helmet
Z1R makes larger helmets, also their sizes are a little bigger than equivalent sizes in other helmet brands. Both the wife and I have Z1R Eclipse modular helmets and really like them, also a good price. Check out http://www.z1rhelmets.com/
