Does your pouch vibrate? Mine vibrates like crazy at certain speeds and the noise gets annoying. Any suggestions? I have the rubber bumpers installed under it.
Harley now makes a 2 pocketbag made just for the streetglide thats what I have been lookin at now I hopeI don't have a problem with vibration I was goin to go pick it up this weekend.
Mine does not viberate to the point to where I notice it and there is nodestructive chaffinggoing on becauseI just took it off anditlooked good. But if it did, I might experiment with some outdoor weather spriping (thin type, self adhesive) underneath it or if you can find thin rubber strips might work as well. Your screws in front are they thight? By the way I do not have the rubber bumpers installed on mine anymore, their somewhere in Kansas, I think.
I went to Radio Shack and got some rubber feet, the kind you'd put uunder something to keep it raised up a c hair for cooling purposes.... drilled a small hole in the foot dead center, then a hole in each compartment of the pouh, and ran a small self tapping screw from the inside of the pouch into the foot, then insalled it on the bike. The rubber foot gets right up against the windshield and stops the vibration.
I tried Velcro and the rubber feet but no matter what I did it still rattled and bounced around. Anything solid I put in it would rattle on the hard bottom of the bag.
I finally had enough of it and pulled it off. I still have it in my garage collecting dust. I miss the convenience of it but I am much happier without it. Rattles drive me nuts and its a short trip at that.
I just bent the metal connectors to put some pressure on the wind shield. I replace them every couple of years anyway. The wind shield can only handle so many bugs before it becomes hard to see through you know.
