Default Front display stand question

I recieved the harley front display stand for my RG today. I read the instructions and was trying to operate the stand before putting it on the bike and it would not rotate. Thereis a bolt which was not identified in the instructions on the top of the tube that the stand rotates in. As it is just a socket head screw and not chromed I figured it maybe a shipping lock so I removed it. No, it was the torsion spring stop. So now I had to press out the two dowel pins and rotate the stand, re-install the stupid unmarked bolt and rotate the stand to put the spring back in torsion and press the dowel pins back in.So now the stand rotates but the instruction clearly state there is supposed to be a greese fitting on the tube which should be greased regularly. There is no fitting anywhere on the tube, WTF. Does anyone that has this stand have a grease fitting? The stand of course rotates rough as it needs lube. Looks like I now have to finish assembly of this stupid stand.
