Had an old shovel '80 FLT that had the slight pull. Broke the primary chain and trashed the sprockets. Put a Primo Belt kit in and voila', no pull. The chain rig weighed about 40 lbs more than the belt. Something to do with a weight balance thing?

BOY O BOY! I sure opened a can o something here. I should have known when I mentioned "election year". VOTE Hillary...NFW!!! Obama only in the Texas primary to keep her from clenching the nomination. Here's my sign? Everybody wants to be a comedian.Great advice for things to look for. I'd never of thought to check the clutch cable. That's why i love the forum. That and the comic relief!
Thanks to all.

My RKC has always "drifted" to the left.&nbsp\\; I chalk it up as normal.

My 14' RK used to pull very hard to the left with hands off. It did not matter what side of the road crown I was or or what was in my bags. I pulled off the forks to service them and add in some Race Tech springs, put it all back to HD spec and now it tracks perfectly straight. My guess, the fork tubes were not equally set in the trees causing an aggressive drift to the left. It handles so much better now. I did not realize how much effort I was putting into keeping it straight.

Align the rear axle, measuring from the axle centerline to the swingarm attachment centerline.

If you want further evidence, ask someone who runs a car tire on the rear. Alignment becomes very critical then!

It may be a little out of whack but there's also the road shape factor.
Roads are not flat so water will run off to the sides the high part being at the center line.
The bike will naturally tend to steer a little to the uphill side with no input at the handlebars.
