Ive been looking at these for a while.Biggest advantage ive heard so far is it keeps your tour pack locked.With the cable you can unlatch your lid and move top to clear the lock-with the brace you supposedly cant.

It dosnt open as far with the brace as it does with the cable want a brace go to Home Depot 4.99 works the same but it aint chrome

Just a thought.............. I'm wondering if there is any way to mount a small closure cylinder like they have on truck cap rear windows. Would it be worth the time and effort?

could be done if you get one that dosent hold more thanfew lbs of pessure the top dosent weigh that much
