Default Should I Get Them Back?

When I took delivery of my new 2008 RKC last week I had the pipes changed out at the dealer for new Reinhardts. I intended to ask for my original HD pipes but forgot. Should I get them back from the dealer? I doubt that even if I traded bikes in a year, two, three or whatever that I wouldn't just go ahead and get more new pipes, but who knows. Also I still have the HD originals from my old 2000 RKC would those still work back on the '08 if I did sale and later down the road and wanted to keep the Reinhardts?

I would get them back. You can always sell them here or on e-bay. The local dealer sells them on e-bay, if customers don't take them. Why let them profit when you could?

They probably "lost" them by now.
But I would ask for them just the same.

I always, always get my parts back. Dealer makes enough money off of me already! I sell them when the wife has a garage sale or I let the Ebay queen next door sell em for me.Besides, if you dump it or something and screw up your "new" pipes, you can throw the old ones on till the insurance pays.

Unless leaving yourstock pipes was part of the deal for installing the Reinhardts I'd say go get them back. Some day, Someone, Somewhere will be looking for a set of stock RKC pipes..................BG
