Volt Gauge?
I wouldnt rely on the guage for total accuracy.
I would check the voltage at the battery with a Volt-Ohm meter while the bike is running....you will probably find thatthe reading will be13.0 to 14.5 VDC depending on what stuff you have equipped your bike with that runs on power. If it is in fact 16 VDC you need to get the regulator checked and/or replaced.

SO YOU LOOK AT YOUR AIR TEMP GUAGE +SAY MANNN ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE.. THEN YOU LOOK AT YOUR FUEL GUAGE AND SAY.. NOT EVEN CLOSE.. THEN U LOOK AT UR VOLT GUAGE AND SAY WOW 16 VOLTS THAT SEEMS HIGH.. OIL PRESSURE ??? RULE OF THUMB..
IF YOUR VOLTS ARE BELOW 9 WHEN AT 60 MPH.. YOU PROBABLY HAVE A PROBLEM. HD GUAGES ARE AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN QUESTIONABLE AT BEST !
MANY YEAR MANY HOGS! WOULDNT RIDE ANY OTHER BRAND.

Mine reads high, also. 07 SG. Of course, most of the time, it reads zero until I rap my knuckles on it a few times. Air temp reads fine now that I relocated the sensor between the forks. As far as I know, the oil press, fuel, speed and tach are accurate when I can see through the foggy lenses. Actually, it's just the fuel that seems to fog on cold mornings.

Same here- 08 FLHT and it has read 16+ since new. I wondered briefly if it was a potential problem, then starting thinking about gas guage, air temp guage.... now it seems normal - for MOCO guages!
