Default 21" pros & cons

Thinking of going with a 21" front on my RKC but nobody in my area is running anything larger than a 18" soI would like to hear from some of the guys already runningthe 21s to see the up or down side to going that large before I waste @2gs and find all kinds of problems. Thanks for the help

what he said x 1 -- I have not had any problems with my 21/18 set up --- the bike handles differently like it's lighter on the front which I like

They only down side I could think of is that your tires won't be stocked at the Harley Dealer
I love mine, no down side as far as riding, handling or performance IMHO

If you use the correct + sizing on the tire, does it change the ride height or geometry of the bike at all? Has anyone done one from RideWright or American Wire yet?

Wrong. You gotta lower the front. About 1 1/2 or so it about right.

Reverend - The 21" front does change the ride height. Overall diameter (with tire) is almost 3 inches larger than the stock 16" set-up, so you should lower the front to bring it back down close to stock. I lowered mine 1", also lowered the rear 1". Rides and handles just fine.

Overall I'm very happy with my 21". Make sure you get a 21x3.5" rim and run the 120/70/21 size tire. Your front fender will probably need to be adjusted to allow proper clearance. Most people can get by with hogging out the rear mounting holes and tilting the fender forward. I wasn't as lucky and ended up welding in a set of Native Custom brakets and repainting. I also had to make new wheel spacers and a rotor spacer. This is NOT common. Just make sure you get a wheel that is compatible with your year bike and you should be fine.

Got my wheels from Shooter64 (Bart). They were made by DNA. I had a set of 18" American Wire Wheels on my previous Road King. They are also very nice. Both sets I've had were sealed for tubeless tires.

No cons for me the bike becomes a little to heavy but the handling is much better for me.
