I know this has probably been talked about before, but has anybody had this done to there 08 model yet? I am kind of leaning toward this, but would like to get some others advice about it.
I have one question though, how do you make any changes yourself since all you get is a little memory key and have to go back to the tuner who has all the software to make the changes. With a SERT you have everything you need to program your bike yourself if you want to, so is it really cheaper since you would have to purchase all the cables and software?
Just found this thread on a search. Have not used the product. The USB key is not (just) a memory device, I am sure. It would be a license key, which the software uses to allow flashing the ECU. Other software I have used also uses this licensing technology. Without the key in the computer at the time, the software will (likely) do read-only operations.
