I posted this under suspension but it did not get much visibility. Hope more see it here and can enlighten me.
Have any of you had your spoked rims wrapped to make the wheels tubless? Both my wife and I have laced wheels which means we can't plug a flat. Have plugged flats while on the road on other bikes. Feel very vulnerable when on a trip. Thanks. Norskie
That vulnerable feeling is just why I have went with cast wheels on my touring bikes. To my knowledge you cant modify a spoke wheel to accomodate a tubeless tire.
You can convert the spoked wheels to run a tubeless tire, I thought I remembered seeing this and I found the company, click on services in their menu, here's the link:
I think they charge around $60.00 a wheel for the sealed nipple service, I was going to do my Vulcan, but since I bought the Harley I now have tubeless tires. Hope this helps.
