Seems kinda funny, I'm 57, current ride is a 2002 Springer Softail, and It wasn't that many years ago when most riders would say full dressers / baggers were for the "old timers". My, how things have changed!

In September 1998 when the first Twin Cam FLHs were arriving at dealers most potential buyers were waiting between 9 months and a year for a new bike. The dealer I purchased my '99 Ultra from was so concerned about getting rid of their new Ultra inventory they agreed to sell me an Ultra despite the fact I lived several market areas away. Remember those days? Soft tails were hot.....FLHs not so hot. Today the market has done a 180. Might have something to do with the average age of a Harley owner now being significantly north of 45. I've ridden a bagger since I was 29. It always made sense to me.

I think its maybe less about age, and more about practical transportation. I ride my bike and needed the space for stops coming home from work for food, booze, that kinda thing....I just kept working up to a bagger. Started off with a Honda CM 250 back in 1992!! Every bike kept getting bigger and more room.....
