Get a room where you wanna drop your rig. Make sure it's a mom and pop type hotel, days inn, budget, something like that family operation. Offer them some cash. Always works for me. Me n Partner go on long trips every year. Always knock off the first 1200 miles or so non stop so we have more time to get further away....
All the good riding will be getting there, because once you get to Daytona the only decent riding is the off ramps. Lotta bikes, but lotta expensive rooms and lots of crowds.
I'm going down to Deal's Gap in a couple weeks, just to do some riding. That Florida gig is just a money trap and riding the roads down there is taking your life in your hands, worst drivers I've ever seen, they'll run you over just as soon as look at you.
You might find that the Smoky Mountains would the place to stay, they've been having decent weather down there this year.

I left my truck and trailer in a storage facility along the road at Gainville.
You know what I mean a Storage express. Cost me 1 month rent $80.00 but the truck and Trailer were behind a fence and it worked out fine.
A friend of mine is leaving on Thursday and he is riding solo...he is about 20 miles East of I-75,just South of Athens TN,about .5 miles off US 411..plenty of room to park....if ur interested,I will ask him if he wants a riding pard....:>
