I'm still looking for someone who makes custom emblems to say what ever I want it to.........
You might try the guy that makes the Street Glide emblems I linked above. He designed the mold for that, so maybe he could hook you up with something custom?
I do like the idea of changing emblems now and then. Never really checked, is the emblem just stuck on (double sided tape)? If so is it reusable if you go back and forth? I'd like to try it, but I don't want to have to buy another stock emblem if I change my mind.
I have the 03 badge. I kinda like it. I can appreciate the clean look, less clutter. Would make cleaning that much easier.
If I did take the emblem off I would still have the grey stripe down the tank. (look closely it says HarleyDavidson thousands of times within the stripe). It would be different than the other 03's.
What kind of dumb a$$ would take off the emblems that Harley spent so much time and effort on, time they should have spent on something useful like fixing the air temp gauge.
vette, get some 3M All Purpose Adhesive Remover #08987 (auto paint store) and some fishing line. Work the line between the adhesive and tank after applying Adhesive Remover. I too removed mine, the first week. I love the look and get alot of compliments.
