Mythbusted: They had to mount a blade in order to get amputation with the steel toe boot and all their other tests showed much more damage to the foot when regular boots are used.

Bottom line, use 'em if you got 'em. Can't hurt...

For you guys that say your feet get cold you might want to try the Wolverine Guardians. They have a CarbonMAX toe which is as strong as steel but half the weight. And obviously they will not absorb the cold. I wear them to work every day. Very comfortable.

I wear steel toed Redwings in winter, and steel toed Double H cowboy boots in summer. Here's the link to the Double H's.. they're SUPER comfy...
