Here's a picture of the wheels:

They are manufactured by MC Motorsports:

http://www.mcmotorsports.com/

And are available though them directly and on eBay, which is were I found them and the only place I've ever seen them.

The only reason I can give you to move up to 18" is to show a little more wheel, which gives a much nicer look.

I'm thinking I am just gonna remove my belt guard totally and run a 160. I been running my belt drive yamaha without one for 75k miles no issues. The biggest exposure I ever heard was maybe picking up a rock and having it poke a hole in the belt, but its never happened to me in that many miles so I think the risk is low.

That's an interesting thought. I wonder what real problems there could be with running w/o one?

Those are hot! I'm curious on price and if anyone else has them already - how's fit & finish quality?

I've got 18's front and rear and run the Metzeler 880's - 140/70 in the front and 150/70 in the rear. No problems although it is a close fit. I know 2 guys thattried 160's in the rear and had to remove the belt guard and even then they had a bit of rubbing. As to the load rating, the Metzeler 150's are fine - never had any problem with 2 up and a load. Save yourself the headaches and go with the 150 on the back.

Are you happy with the ride after going to 18"? I'm thinking 150 is the way to go. I think if I put the 160 on, it would always be in the back of my head that the tire was rubbing, or going to rub and eventually give me a bad day.

I am thinking about doing something similar. Would there be any issues with running a 16150/70 on the rear and 18 140/70 on the front? I have seen some scoots with this set up and really looks good. Does anyone have this setup and is there any issues with handling?

thanks
