Default warranty problems/issues with CD skiping

So, what issues or problems have any of you had with your CD players "skipping" and trying to have HD fix them.. Can this be fixed? would like to have some "ammo" before I try and deal with my service dept...

fIRST MAKE SURE THE CDs ARE CLEAN AND TRY SEVERAL. iF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS HAVE THEM REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY AT RADIO SOUND IF BIKE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.iF NOT UNDER WARRANTY RADIO SOUND WILL STILL DO IT BUT CHARGE YOU. nORMALLY THEY SEND A REPLACEMENT REBUILT UNIT SO YOU ARE NOT DOWN FOR LONG.

two year warranty runs out next month - this "skipping" problem just started and like others - take it out and put it back in a few times and the skippin/distortion? stops... So, just looking here to see if anyone has found out what causes this or if HD has had any service letters on it??
