Anyone here know what type of glue Rubber Grommets in Fairing Cap are glued with?
I apparently lost mine while riding today on Left side. Just so happens that I have another one on Cap that I removed originally, because I had my inner fairing & cap painted a while back. WhenI went to retrieve one of those, I noticed that those were apparently glued on somehow. Any& all help is appreciated, THANKS. BG
Don't know, sorry. The barbs on the fairing cap fit into corresponding slots in the grommet, then the interior of the joint between the grommet and cap are sealed with a bead of the silicone caulk.
I had the same thing happen--lost a grommet while riding--I don't think the silicone is so much a glue as it is a seal against water.
