76 hp. and 82 ft. lbs. of torque

Are these numbers ok?
Anything about these numbers that aren't accurate?

Any and all comments welcome.
Man, those are some great numbers for a basically stock engine. Considering you started out in the low 60's for hp you should be proud. Your pipes and the SERT made all the difference in the world, and getting it dyno'd lets you know that you did it right.

Congrats.

To All,

According to my dyno chart: 76 hp. and 82 ft. lbs. of torque.
Will 203 cams raise my horsepower and torque and make it pull better down low?

Thanks as always for your comments and any suggestions,
magnoliarunner

magnoliarunner,

These numbers look pretty good, I don't suppose you'd consider e-mailing me your map? I'm starting to learn a little more about the SERT and I started by printing out the 140+ page manual. I think a lot of it has to do with your technician who tuned the bike. I am also looking for a technician who is familiar with the SERT and has a Dyno at their disposal. I'd like to confirm or get a second opinion on my results. Nice thing about the SERT is if you don't like the map you up loaded you can always go back to the one you had, IF you've saved it.

Thanks,

Dave

Default SERT Map

XGLIDE,

On the black coupler, the tuner wrapped a piece
of masking tape around it and wrote this: 05 1450 SE MUFFS. MT5
Is this what you are talking about?
There are no other numbers.
Do you think this is a canned map or specific for my bike?
Seems like I lost some low end torque with mufflers & air filter before
I had the SERT installed and dynoed.
I gained a little torque afterwards but still seems sluggish down low.
Could it be the mufflers don't have enough back pressure?
Maybe it could be redynoed to make more low end torque. I don't know.
See if this info helps and if you change the map for the better, maybe I
can do the same to mine and make it run better.

Magnoliarunner,

That's the name of the .mt5 file that the SERT uses. Ask the folks who tuned your bike if they have this file and if they will give you a copy. I carry mine on a small USB drive and my SERT in my saddle bag. If I'm away from home and my bike starts running weird, I can have the closest Harley-Davidson shop re-load this into my ECM and that might fix any problems I have. Go ahead and load the Race Tuner program (should have come on a CD-ROM with the SERT) on your computer and you can upload this file and compare it to a stock map by printing them out. If you do a "Print All" it's twelve pages for each one. The Users Manual is also on this disc and makes for some interesting reading. I've loading everything up to my desk computer and my laptop so I can use on which ever computer I'm closer to at the time. I wanted you to send me a copy of the .mt5 file you are using because you have a 88ci like mine and I wanted to compare what your tuner did that mine may not have done. My max hp is around 75 and my max torque is around 73, I have the D&D Fat Cat 2 into 1 instead of the Pro Pipe you are running and of course I have a Street Glide and you have an Ultra. Send me an e-mail, danaoneal1@yahoo.com and I'll send you the map I'm currently running in my bike. It's not bad, but I do need to make some changes so the pipe doesn't pop so much when the bike is still cold and I roll off the throttle.

Thanks for the info,

Dave

Ran the 203 Cam, with the bigbore kit, on my 02 Classic and it had tons of bottom end grunt.
I would reccomend a cam in that range. The only other thought is that the cam shoe tensioners have been getting pretty bad press lately which would make me look for a gear drive cam.

alazlo,

What have you heard about the shoe tensioner on the 06 bikes? I thought I read where the MOCO made some changes to it on the 06 bikes?
