Oil leak ??

Oil leak ??
Ok i will start off with, 2004 ultra, bone stock. I noticed While looking under the bike, some oil on the bottom onthe inside of the inner primary. I also see it on the top inside of the inner primary. More oiltowards the bottom than the top. and more towards the back than the front. All oil levels are good. Primary was a little low, but i didn't fill it last time so that may be whereTHEY filled it to. I filled it and went for a short ride to get everything well up to temp, and havent seen any drips in the couple hours its been sitting. I seea candy cane shaped vent tube back in that general area, but its at the top. So tell me am i being paranoid about the new scoot or would you be lookin for a leek?

I hate oil leaks of any kind. I don't think I'd be paranoid, but if I were you I'd just be sure to keep an eye on it. It could have just been spilled oil from whoever filled it the last time. That candy cane shaped hose is a vent tube.

Small point, but I would lay a piece of clean dry news paper under my bike. This will expose any leaks instantly they occur, and even if they dry the paper will show an impresion as it expanded the paper.
Personally I wouldn't be too concerned about it, I ride my bike hard and get the odd spot here and there on the engine but nothing of note.
