I'm just curious here. Has anyone ever actually finished modding their ride? I know there are some that have left them bone stock. But has anyone done some mods and then felt that those were enough? I just have the sinking feeling that this may be a terminal illness!
I figure when the bank comes and repossesses the bike because I can no longer make payments because I spent all my money on chrome and bike parts......................Then I will be done.
This is all part of a vast conspiracy by the MOCO and accessory manufacturers. By the time you get finished, your bike is worn out so you either have to do a major overhaul or you plunk down several thousand for the latest, greatest, neatest, newest stuff coming out of Milwaukee. It's the master plan and there's not a thing you can do about it.

Not entirely true. He could always go buy a metric. There's nowhere near the amount of aftermarket ready to bolt on accessories available for those as there are for HD's. I did more custom fab work for my 98 Vulcan than I've ever had to do for either of my HD's.
I affectionately referred to the Vulcan as the "KawiChevyDavidson". I had parts for a 57 chevy small block in the intake.
These days I prefer just bolting chit on. I'm done with the busted knuckles.
Never done lmao. My RG is in the final stages of a major body mod at the moment using Bad Dad Customs parts etc and should be done with paint in a day or so. It's always something like " hmmm, think this would look pretty good and that'll be it.." yeah right! Been there, done that, still doing it and don't have the damn tshirt yet.
I finished modding my bike the same week I bought itin 2005. All Iadded was touring mufflers and a Garmin GPS.The rest of my money has been spent on road trips. Blingand performance mods are nice, but travelingismore memorable.
I'm done and have been done for several years, at least until the 88" motor gives out. I have heads and cylinders waiting in the wings for doing a 95" when I need to but won't until the 88" gives up the ghost.
