I just got ultra tour pack and want to paint do I need to cut caulk around lights to get the lights out or just take nuts off and pull metal keepers and the back will come off and the inner light will stay????? thanks in advance for any help
When the light bar is removed, the only thing left are the holes in your TP and the TP's internal wiring harness.
After you have unscrewed the nuts, the silicone caulk around the light pod/reflectors needs to be cut; heat from a hair dryer will loosen the caulk also to make the bar easier to remove.
The light bulb sockets unscrew and can stay inside until the bottom plate and wiring harness are removed.
At least, that's how I did mine about a year and a half ago for painting.
