Doesanyone have those B&E mufflers?
And if so what size baffle did you get?
What kind of sound/loudness is there?
I can't see why a 1.75" baffle wouldnt do the trick.
What say you? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/B-E-S...QQcmdZViewItem
Its a strange question cause sound is subjective. But I thought I'd get some input anyway.
I have 2 sets of B&E Superflows, one set is 2" and the other is 2.25". I currently have the 2.25" on my Road King. Nice rumble at idle, great sound on acceleration, and they mellow out well at cruise. I feel that they are a good deal for the price.
Since buying my bike last March I've tried 7 different mufflers. Listed in order:
Samson ovals (came on the bike)
Screamin Eagles 64910-99
B&E 2" Superflow
Vance & Hine Oval
RUSH with 2.50" baffle
RUSH with 2.25" baffle
B&E 2.25" Superflow
Of all those listed I have to say I like the B&E Superflow 2.25" the best.
I've got the 2" B&E Superflows and love em.
Nice sound all through the range and they do mellow out at a cruise.
I get a small pop once in a while but did not do any other upgrades to the ac or fuel.
Nice guy to buy from also.
I've got the 2.5" baffles on my 06 flhti and really like the sound. I also installed the fullsac dual kit so I could get the Harley potato sound since running with the stock crossover really muted the sound. For the money they're great and I just recently had the stage one harley air cleaner put on and once the download was installed the popping on decel just about went away. Occasionally it will happen but I had the B/E's on for approx 15,000 miles before doing the filter upgrade. It's a nice sound but not obnoxiousand really pleasant on a long cruise. You'll definately enjoy the sound and also it keeps the bike under the radar from the local cops. You'll definately see the difference once you upgrade the fuel map but you won't need to if you keep the stock air cleaner.
Best thing to do is send them an email, Bob will call you and you can ask him all the questions you want. He said they got the best performance out of the 2". I did the whole kit(mufflers and true dual conversion) kiton my '08 Road Glide and $340.00 is the best money I have spent so far on the bike. After the kit and about 400 miles I hadmy first service done and the tech said the plugs that came out of my bike are the best he has seen coming out of a '07 or '08model. I ask him about doing astage 1air cleaner and download or fuelpak and he said as good asthe bike runs why waste the money. So far cheaper and sounds better than the Rineharts I put on my '04 bagger and less work.

So you can put these true duals on without any othr mods? Do they take thr O2 sensors?

BK
BK,
How would you compare the LOUDNESS of the 2" B&E to the Vance and Hines Ovals?

The B&E had a deeper tone than the V&H Ovals. Nice idle, good sound on acceleration, good tone and mellow at cruise. For my own personal taste I do prefer the 2.25" over the 2".
To be honest I did not care for the V&H Ovals. During hard acceleration the sound was "flat" and it seemed to lose any depth of tone. Also,I could not get used to the style of the muffler body. I prefer the look of the traditional round muffler body. I ran the Ovals for approx. 500 miles in a combination of interstate riding, in-town riding and back roads cruising in an effort to give them a fair shake.
In reply to sunnenman: Last time I checked the B&E Superflows were going for $160 plus shipping, so price is/was comparable to the Wild Pig seconds.
