I know TD's sacrifice some low end torque, but how much? Anybody with some #'s. Anybody go to TD's and regret it. I just spent $$$ on cams-intake-EFI module. I am running Rush 2.0 mufflers and they(Rush) just came out with a TD set-up. I was thinking about going this route to get a little more volume + that 2 pipe note, but I can't see spending more $$$ to take away from a performance gain. A VERY small loss might be worth it, but only if it really made a big difference in sound. If anyone has been through this senario and made the switch to TD's, let me know if it was worth it. Could you actually FEEL a difference? By that I mean a drop in performance.
I just had SE 255 cams, SE stage 1 + Cobra FI2000R installed-What a difference!
i put v&h duals on mine same thing here didnt really notice much difference in performance made a hell of a difference in sound though well to my ear it did.
when i went from bassani power curve true duals to a fatcat 2 into 1 the hp gain was a little over 20
You are full ofBS. No one gains 20 horses by just changing pipes.Everyone would buy fatcats if that was true. Let's here the rest of the story if you have the *****.
I don't really notice it. BUT, I have the 103 Stage 2 kit.
The one thing I really like, compared to the other Harleys I have ridden (at least one was also a bigbore kit bike) is that PASSING power, seems to be improved a lot.
Myself, I would rather have the power to pass a semi on the highway, than have it pulling away from a stoplight. Mine is VERY responsive jumping from 60-80.
How much is the big bore Kit, and how much is the exhaust, Im not sure. But I DO think that the true-duals are making a contribution in the midrange power. I can live with a bit of low end loss in order to gain that.
