The reason black is the fastest is, black absorbs light, white reflects light, soooo, your on the road and the black bike is pulling in the light, the white bike is resisting it, simple, now boys and girls my Hayabusa was quick and I don't think the color mattered. all kidding asideI think and believe the reason posted about the parts being closer fitting makes sense, Oh both my bikes are light colored.

08 is faster due to lesser drag caused by the IDS. Also wheels can spin more freely due to the ABS. My dealer told me they are the fastest HARLEY's ever. But the service cost more due to the complex IDS lube on the rubber. He did say that the ABS could be done only a trained Monkey that comes to his dealer 2x a year so make the appointment soon. Or ican chase him from Daytona to sturgis at the rally's he will be in the OCC truck.
