Took a run to Daytona today. Went to Beach Street and the Speedway. Saw a few piles of twisted aluminum poles from the bad storms that moved through last night.
There didn't seem to be as many people, but it was very windy and cool.
I bought a new Scorpion EXO 100 helmet and I love it. It's the best fitting half helmet I've ever put on. I also liked the retractable face shield.
I was watching the AMA Supercross race in Daytona last night on Speed Channel................man it was raining hard. With weather like that, it probably drove the people away pretty quickly.
It was very nasty. We went to dinner in Deland and were worried we would make it home ok. The winds today were still gusting to 35. Enough to make life interesting on the ride over and back. A lot of vendors had their booths blown down and/or their merchandise get soaked. My wife was looking at some jackets and they were all soaked.
Didn't ride the last two days. Watched the races on Speed. I too picked up that Scorpion helmet at the Helmet Shop a week or so ago and agree with the assessment it is one comfortable kewl helmet.
Will head up that way tomorrrow and see if anything is going on.
