Default Clutch Adjustment

Did my 5k today. That jamb nut on the clutch took much more effort to pop loose than it did to reach 10ft pounds tourqing it back down. Is that common?

I am just worried that it isn't tight enough and I'll end up with a big mess on my hands.

Default RE: Clutch Adjustment

I help several folks ajust there clutch, and what you say IS common. Get your self a Craftman off set 11/16 wrench from Sears and thing will go a lot smoother. That Darn nut does't really do anything but act as a jam nut, to lock the through out bearing push rod in place. Good luck, a clutch ajustment is a little trick at first.
