I had my bike pinstriped, it cost me $400 for the whole thing. These pics. were taken while my painter was doing the job so the bike is dirty and you can still see the grease pencil marks from where he drew on the striping. He also did alot on top of the tank which I didn't get a pic of and he also did around the Harley logo on the sides of the tank. I'm real happy with it and get alot of people tellin me he did great work. All by free hand paint.
I'm supposed to do it Thursday or Friday. He said it shouldn't take more than 5 hours. $400 sounds like such a deal. I can do the clear coat over it but it would run me about double that. He said without the clear coat it should still last at least 5 years. Heck I will do a full paint job by then.
That's my plan. I really want a custom paint job, but could not afford it. I was at a rally and this guy was doing striping for $100. So, I figured I would do that, for now, and save my pennies for a custom job. I am happy with the way they turned out, but not thrilled with them. If that makes any sense...
I'm going to sleep on it a few nights. I really want an all out paint job but just don't have the $3500 to do it. Thanks for the pics. Has anyone here had there street glide painted?
