I've been considering one of these for my new bike because my BMW has a center stand, and I kinda like it. But for use at home in the garage, a block of wood, 3.5 to 4 inches thick can be positioned under the jiffy stand to give the bike a vertical position. I've been using this on my FLHS for years. It works fine; but I don't have small children to worry about. I'm thinking about making something that consists of the right height block of wood with the black disk from the dealer that has ridges to position the jiffy stand foot.
put a center stand on my 2007 roadking from harley was expensive and is very secure and solid..no worrys about ever falling.i ll tell you it is a bear to get up,but once its up ...no worrys ...it fits under the center of the bike not like the old display stands that harley tried to pawn off which was shaky..if your concerned over the welfare of you ride..try harleys centerstand...
I put a Rivco on mine,no complaints, solid as a rock andlifts the rear rear wheel over a inch off the ground and still works with my jack. Took all of 15 minutes to install, I like the solid lifting arm also, I looked at one I can't remember which one but the lift arm bolted on which I didn't like as much. No problems with dragging so far, got it new off e-bay pretty cheap too!

Scary. What's to keep the bike from falling to the right?
red hot ultra...if you are not mechanically inclined or a good buddy is with you this stand is worth every penny to have harley install it..read all the instructions first its installation is what makes it so secure and is very critical to followed.the centerstand is also very solid.when you see it you ll feel secure to let you most valuable possession on it...good luck in which ever you deceide ....i always was a beleiver if someone could do something ,then so could someone else..take your time.
I have the Rivco (see pic), and its great. Easy to use, and I feel a lot more comfortable walking away from it, don't like the side stand. Different tastes I guess.
