Default Road Glide Question

A buddy of mine (customer @ work) has a 2004 RoadGlide. He went to the local dealer to buy the
painted saddlebag fillers. They told him those won't work on a RoadGlide. What could possibly be
different? I know the antenna has to be moved. I think he was talking about one of those internal (inside the fairing
antennas)

I'm sure I've seen those fillers on RG's as well as the StreetGlidefillers and led lamp.

Thanks,

I've got them on mine. They came stock on the SE Roadglide in 00 and 01.

They say they won't work because of the antenna. If your buddy goes to an inside the fairing type antenna, the fillers will work just fine. He could also go with a Street Glide rear ground effects part. It's no longer a VIN restricted part, so they are readily available. Several here, including myself, have done it. Really cleans up the rear.

So it's only the antenna that's in the way?
Been wanting to buy some chrome ones but the cat. said they dont fit.
I could not figure out what was so different on a Road Glide that would prvent them from not fitting.
I wish this post came up a couple days ago when I ordered the oil cooler.

I bought and tried to install them since I didn't see why the wouldn't fit.Well, they won't fit without notching them out. Since then I have seen several "notched out" on Road Glides.

I have had the "HD painted to match" ones on mine for a couple of years now. Cleaned it up nice. There are a couple of different versions, w/cutout and without cutout. Be sure and get the correct ones.

BTW - I have switched to the "in the fairing" antenna and it works just fine (exact same reception)
