I thought I smeeled Burned Skunk when I woke up this morning.
My dog got hit by a skink a few times. The Vet sold me some stuff called Skunk Off, it worked great on her and the back of my pickup were she stayed for the night.

There is a remedy available for your pets should they get sprayed by a skunk.
A mixture of peroxide and something else.
But make sure you ask about putting on paint etc before you spray it on yor bike.
Drop me a pm if you cat find the remdy and I go over to the Vet after work this afternoon.....

Our dog got skunked and ran into the house. left "imprints" on the carpet too! Went to the grocery store and got tomato juice and washed the dog several times, got a little better but didn't get rid of the smell. I searched the Net, Found some hunting sites, I guess the hunting dogs are always getting skunked flushing game out. They sugguested getting Womans MaGil Duestch (can't spell) it cleans out thier privates. They were little, so I bought 6 kits. That did the best job in clearing the smell away, after a few washes, the smell was almost entirely gone. I looked at the kit, it was a little plastic bottle, with a liquid in it - the main ingredients were vinegar and water, so we used the kitchen vinegar for the final wash.
Check the hunting sites, there were lots of suggestions, I got the Duetshe stuff cause I knew I could get that at the grocery store late at night, and we couldn't sleep with the smell - we could toss the dog outside, but he got it on the carpet.

Not sure I'd use this on the bike (try a small area first). I used it on the dog a couple times, myself after washing the dogand on a car once (rinsed well afterwards).
Tomato juice just covers the smell and turned the dog orange
.
What you need Next go to a drug store and get the following, if needed:
[ul][*]1 quart (or liter) of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, H2O2.
Use fresh (unopened) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Hydrogen peroxide eventually turns into water (H2O).[*]1/4 cup (50 ml.) of Baking Soda[*]1 teaspoon (5 ml.) of Liquid Soap[*]1 pair of plastic or latex gloves [/ul]
To Use [ul][*]Bathe the dog outside or, if it's too dark or cold, in the bathroom with the door closed and window opened.[*]Combine the ingredients in an open container (do not store in a sealed bottle--it will explode).[*]Using gloves, wash your dog with lukewarm water and the mixture while the mixture is bubbling. Work the mixture well into the fur.[*]Be sure to concentrate on the area that was sprayed.[*]Keep mixture away from your dog's face and eyes (it's a harsh solution). (If your dog has been sprayed in the face, try Tricotine Liquid Douche Concentrate or any over-the-counter douche.)[*]Let the mixture stand for 10 minutes or so before rinsing off.[*]Rinse the dog with lukewarm tap water. Don't wash the mixture into your dog's eyes (use a washcloth to cover the eyes if you're rinsing the head).[*]After bathing, check your dog's eyes. If they are red and watering, your dog may have taken a direct hit in the face. Skunk spray won't blind the dog, but it's very painful. Contact a vet. [/ul]

Hey man, I don't know if this is an old wives tale, but I was always told if you got skunked to wash in tomato juice. it does neutralize the stank. I don't know if you should use something that acidic on the bike or not, but a wipe and a rinse may be all you need to do it.
