I am thinking about different mufflers. I have SE touring on now, narrowed it down (i think) Wild Pigs, V&H Ovals, price seems to be very good on the WP, opinions please?
Don't know what you're looking for, but I really did not want overtly loud pipes. I bought the Bub 7 TD with the crossover. Check their sight, you can hear them... Most guys will tell you this is a very personal preference deal. I'm in the middle of a build on the engine and the guy that is helping me suggested that I go with the Rineharts. For me... they were a bit loud... the Bub's were a little bit quieter. They have the same stepped header design, made by the same company. Again... personal preference. A lot of guys are going to the 2 in 1 because of performance... I just like the dual exhaust look. It takes me back to the 60's when cars were cars! Ride safely,
J
I have the Fulsac true duel system, just looking for a gutty throaty sound, i have heard the V&H ovals, really liked them. I've read that for the money, you can't beat the Wild Pigs. just looking for opinion. Thanks, i'll check them out.
Don't know what your looking for for sound but If you want big sound go with the wild pig reverse slash cut's I had both reverse and reg slash cuts and the reverse with the 2 1/2 baffles will give you a real rumble...I liked the sound of the reversed better than the other ones....The pigs I bought both sets I couldn't find a thing wrong with them, they say they are belem's but they were perfect... I'm going to get flack for this but one of my buddy's have V/H ovals on his, and when he is riding in front of me it sounds like they rattle... He says that he can't hear it but it's there....
I have the Wild Pigs on my '96 Ultra and like them. I tried the SE but they were too loud. I added the 'true duals' which made it louder but not to the point I can't hear my tunes.
