Flip the lid around. There is a front and a back to them......and if you want a chrome lid, don't buy one. I have one NEVER OPENED that I will GIVE you. Just give me your address. I'll send it to ya.
I bought one and then discovered that one came with the chrome master cylinder kit I bought.

Check the simplest things first. Leak on my 06 EG disappeared when I drew the fluid down a tad.

Mine started to leak a little after i did the chrome switches. I think it had something to do with the master cylinder laying on its side while i changed the switches. live and learn i guess.

Mine leaked on my 07 RKC. I was more concerned with the brake fluid getting blown onto my tank and screwing up the paint. I immediately replaced the stock cover with a chrome one and new gasket; I haven't had any leakage since. I think it's a common problem but you'll never get the MoCo to own up to it.
DOT 5 brake fluid will not screw up the paint.

I didn't realize mine was leaking until I noticed the paint bubbling up on the lid. I checked the screws and thightened them. I ended up taking the lid off and stripping the paint and repainting it. Seems to be fine now. Brake fluid is the best paint stripped in the world so be careful. Check those screws regular.

I have the chrome front master on my 01 RK. Hell, not much that isn't chrome. Anyway the only time mine leaked was when I had an Indy install chrome calipers and polished rotors. Most every connection was loose so I filled it with fluid, tightened everything and have not had a problem since. Needless to say that was the last time I used that guy. I don't care if somebody smokes pot but don't do it when you are working a my bike....
