I have a zumo 550 that I am trying to upload some routes to and everything appears to be uploading fine but when I turn the unit on to make sure they are on there, the unit says there isn't anything there. Am I missing a step? Please help if you can I have a group ride tomorrow and really need this route because I'm likely to be leading part of it. Thanks.
You have to use map source to upload a route either to the SD card or directly to the unit. Best place to go to get your answers is zumoforums.com . An excellent resource for the Zumo owners. You can also get the HD POI files here.
yeah it is saying that the info is loading up successful but when I turn the unit on to import it doesn't look like it is there. I've tried different sd cards so that isn't the problem. I sure need to get this to work. I'll try to call garmin in a minute.
If you have loaded your route properly,
andyou have
selected "Where to?"
and that didn't work
try
select "Where to?"
then select "Recently found"
some times a route will end up there.
if these don't help,
I agree with eariler post about www.zumoforums.com a great site
well I was able to get it fixed. I called garmin and apparently for some reason the computer had conflicts with the drive letter it was assigned. Garmin told me to re-assign the letter and it worked fine. I have spent most of the day trying to get it to work. I restored the windows to back to last week, did master re-sets on the zumo, reloaded software etc. Sure am glad they could help me. Thanks again fellas. I appreciate the help! I was worried to death about taking all those people tomorrow on a ride and having to fight with a map while riding.
Glad it worked out for!
I know first hand how frustrating it can it!!
But, like you said in so many words, It beats fighting with a map!!
When it's working right!
