RG vs EG
Have 07 RG but some times think EG would keep more wind off. At demo rides bike week rode an ultra got off and right on a RG. The weather was very windy the RG was much more stable and seems roomier with with the faring being pushed out in front of you. EG riders do not know what they are missing. Only wish they made a Ultra RG.

Made my own RG Bad Dad Ultra. I too find the fairng being so close it feels confining to me along with the wind effects on the bar mounted fairing. I've ridden them all and well, I'm on my 2nd RG.

Made my 2000 RG into an Ultra RG , it has everything the Ultra Classic has except for the cruise module being installed. I now has 112,000+on it and I have plans to bring another RG in to the family as soon as my CFO okays it.

I agree with you, the RG feels roomier with the sharknose faring. I don't have a lot of experience on the batwings so I am not knocking them, you can't argue with their success. You can ultralize your RG for about 2K which is still less than you pay for an Ultra.
