Adding cruise to a 2007 FLHT
I was looking at the HD cruise control upgrade kit and it shows a new handle bar control unit as part of the kit. I believe my 2007 FLHT has the handle bar controls and wiring in place. Can you purchase just the control unit and not the complete kit? Thanks.

When you buy the kit from HD it will come with everything you need. You have to have a new switch housing cause the one you have doesn't have the cruise control switch on it. The part # you need is 77196-07.

Okay, thanks. I thought the Mode Select button on the right handle bar was the cruise control buttons. Now I see that it'sfor the radio controls, not cruise. Thanks again.

When you buy the cruise system, get a shop manual for the bike. In the instruction sheet, the part about getting the ignition lock off is a little hazy. The shop manual will clear it up. Take your time with it, don't skip any of the steps. It should take you 3 to 4 hrs to do the install. Then enjoy the hell out of it!
