Continental Tires
This is an outdated opinion since the last time I ran Conti tires was 1981, but at that time they were a pretty hard rubber that lasted 2 to 3000 more than Dunni's or Avons. I was riding fast and hard on asian bikes at the time and they slipped a little quicker in the turns and were almost scary in the rain. They also tracked rain grooves big time. There wasn't much selection in their line back then so I was running K112s and RB2s. I Gave up the mileage and pretty much ran Avons and Metzlers ever since. I'm currently running Avons on my 06 FLHTCUSE and like the way they stick and feel. Ate up the stock Dunlop rear tireat 6800 miles. Three Metzlers in the next 21000. Only a couple thousand on the Avons on this bike so far but they handle very well and still look new. No slip and don't track the rain grooves bad at all, but the Metz weren't bad either. The Metz just seemed the wear very quickly under two-up touring load conditions.
