Thanks hogdoc
Mine swings 2 1/2 times but feels lose and I can feel a slight clunk when dabbing the brakes. Thanks for your info it made more sense to me than the service manual did. I will check the stem nuts tourqe and try that first
Check the caliper bolts, more likely check your front motor mount. If its shot it could feel like the front end is loose.

if that 1 1/2 nut was loose thats where your noise was comming from. your dealer should have been checking that!

Default Clutch Cable

Do you need to remove the clutch cable to check the swing? It seems as if this pulls or restrains the bars from swinging freely.

Yes. You should remove clutch cable and throttle cable if you have one.

My front end seems loose. I can feel a clunk when I hit a small bump or hole. Also have trouble with low speed wobble. (keeping it in line at 5 mph or less)
I can it the bike up level. I have a 08 but theres a cross member under the bike and either the front or rear tire is higher so with the swing test I only get a turn and a half.

I got it broke down and was able to get the the star nut but not sure if I got it turned any.

Also remember to grease the neck fitting while you are in there. If it is dry that may cause a clunk when going over bumps.
