Someone recently recommended the Harbor Freight wheel chock over others that were much more expensive. I just got two of them, and, at $39.99 each, they seem to be the bargain of the day. They hold up my 05 Ultra no problem. Since I have 2X8 boards over my pit in my garage, I bolted one to the boards. The other I bolted in my trailer. They DO NOT hit the back edge of the front fender. I did have to adjust the rear swing up piece to the lowest bolt hole.
Thanks for the tip. This is what is so great about this forum. It is a wealth of useful info.
Going down to South Carolina this week and I have to towa 6' x 12' trailer with my F150. I would like to put my EG in the back of my truck. Would this chock work. Any suggestions.
I just checked their web site, seems they are reduced to $29.99 now, hows this wheel chock compare to the others ? any problems with the ruggedness of the wheel chock?
I have one heading home myself. I was concerned about lower fender clearance. But I see it's cool.
I'm gonna put it on my bike lift instead of the crank type wheel chock. I get worried about stepping off the bike
to crank the wheel chock closed.
Of course I cant see the wheel chock when I ride up. So I probably wont be able to see this either...[8D]
How hard is it to rock the bike back out once you have it in?? I was thinking about putting one on my Handy Lift to replace the hand crank front tire vise that the Handy comes with. Just don;t want to have to climb up on the bike while on the lift to get the bike out of the chock. I agree, looks like a Great price and at $29.99 even better.
