Default RE: Replacement Headlamp Bulb

I used to own an old Ducati 450cc single cylinder. That thing would shake your teeth loose. It ate headlight bulbs, taillight bulbs, license plates and batteries. It would shake the plates loose in the battery. I got tired of replacing H4 bulbs and decided to try and repair one. I found that the filaments were both ok but the solder connections had been shaken loose. I resoldered the filament connections. Then I drilled a small hole in the side of the metal base and filled it with silicone. I never had to replace that bulb.
My evo vibrates much less than that bike did.

Newer Passing Light Bulbs are 881s (27W), they can be replaced with 894s (37w) or 88s (50w).

Any parts house will have them.

9003 is not an H4 Bulb. The 9000 series of bulbs have plastic molded bases where H4 have three (3) steel pins.

Go to DanielStern.com for all you every wanted to know about lights and bulbs

Any GOOD parts store will be able to figure it out unless you go to 'Zone (shudder!) or some other company.
I tried O'reillys, Auto Zone, and Advance Auto here in our town, Natta, one anywhere....neither H4, H4-sd, or H9003's
