Went to the dealer yesterday with checkbook in hand. $19125 for the bike, $795 ABS, $345 delivery, $395 setup, $1446 NJ Tax and $128 MV Fees = $22,234.00. They will throw in Security and Cruise. I was hoping they could do a little better than that but they didn't try to stop me as I walked out. The magic number for me is $21,500 OTD loaded. I'll make a couple of calls to dealers in the area today.

You won't do better than MSRP. They won't haggle either if they are an MSRP dealer. If you wait until the 2009's are out, you can probably get about a grand off of the price.

Every Harley dealer will let you walk. In my experience, they won't accept a penny less than MSRP. Someone else will buy it and they aren't hurting that much that they need to sell.

Also, they aren't throwing in Security and cruise for that price. That is included in the $19,125 quote they gave you.

Does anyone know what the dealer invoice is on an 08 SG in Black Pearl with ABS, Cruise and Security. Thanks in Advance!
My advice to you is to do what my wife and I did, and I say wife and I because she picked out the bike, color and came up with the idea of how we'd go about it; we had it narrowed down to either a SG or a RKC, and she chose the RKC! Imagine that!
Here's what we did: Now, my wife is the director of sales and marketing fortwo 5 star hotels so I let her go after them...We got tired of calling to see what dealers had and she drafted up an email, CC'd every dealer we sent it to so they'd know it wasn't just going to them, told them what we wanted, told them what we'd pay and waited for the replies. Only a few hours went by and they started pouring in. We picked the dealer with not only the lowest price, but the one who answered honestly and the one who was not trying to lure us in for their bull$hit sales pitch. We ended up getting the price we wanted, w/abs, security and $1000 to spend at the shop, plus 2 t-shirts that we picked outand not just t-shirts, they were $120 for the 2. And we had the option of 10% off for a yr or 20% off a one time purchase. Not much but anything helps. Some of them came back with cocky answers and attitudes, some didn't have the bike. Bottom line, it worked for us and wepaid what we wanted to pay and met a very nice new dealership we'd never been to before. They've called, emailed and sent cards to us checking on the bike, our happiness and just to thank us and let us know if their was anything they could do for us, to ask. Don't be surprised if you try this route, it may work for you. Good luck and don't settle!

Security, ABS and Cruise are optional on that bike.
