Just got my Biketronics radio package and according to the website it was supossed to come with a hidden antenna. All it came with is a antenna jack with a yellow wire attached to it. Is this the hidden antenna they speak of because it doesn't look like any hidden antenna that I have seen. Doesn't look like it will work very well if it is. BTW I do have a call into Biketronics just haven't recieved a return call yet , I was just hoping I could get a quick answer on here since I am in the middle of the install. Thanks Bull!!
thats the one...they work fine if install well, make long runs back and forth across inside of fairing, keep away from other wires and metal if possible. definite try radio with fairing open.
Thanks guys. I'm going to have my Sirius hooked up not much of a FM fan anymore so it's really no big deal. I just wanted to make sure I got what I paid for just in case I ever wanted to listen to FM. BTW Pat at Biketronics was very quick to return my phone call.

I would be interested in knowing how your Sirius works out at highway speeds. I have to crank my XM up so far to hear it that it comes out distorted. FM and CD are great on the road, just not XM.

Do you have your XM hooked up through a wired modulater that goes between your antenna jack or a direct aux jack or do you work it off the built in modulater on you XM unit and play it through a FM channel? If your working off the built in modulater your not going to have good reception.

I'm using an XM Direct unit that goes directly into the back of the Sony GT510 unit.
That's the antenna, it works very well. We tuned into a weak FM station with our powered one, then used the Biketronics one and it was louder and clearer. Run it straight up to just below the windshield then horizontally accross the fairing.
