I started to install chrome covers so when boards are up it looks better. They dont seem
to fit perfect there is a gap, the chrome cover dose not go all the way to the top of the board
its close but not all the way. Has any one replaced these themselves. I also took the floor board insert
out and one of the rubber nipple that secures the board down broke. I'm thinking of using silicone but would
make it tough to remove in the future.
Thanks in advance for anyones help...
First, welcome to the forum. You'll have a lot of fun here and learn a lot. The lower covers don't go all the way to the top of the floorboard. There is a little gap. As stated above, check with your dealer for take-offs. If they don't have any, get the new ones that will match what you're putting on the front (you're gonna do that). Be sure to lube them up well. Use soap or WD-40 you should be set.
