Default SE Air Filter
I was wondering what every one uses to clean their non-oiled SE airfilter,other than the HD cleaner?Can it just be cleaned in soapy water?Thanks for any info.

Most ditch them for a K&N filter but if you must......see below. You can use something like Dawn dish liquid that cuts grease.

Get rid of it, those filters are junk they don't last. Spend the cash and get a K/N filter.

I would like to replace my SE cleaner with a K n N not sure where to buy one...
The on line sites I have seen only have filters for 07 and earlier bikes.

Not out yet....but you can drill new holes like a bunch of us did. Use one existing hole, drill two new ones and then plug the two old ones.

I spoke with my dealer technician this Sunday. he said, just use 409 spray and wash it out, then let it dry. He also noted, "dont" oil it. This is from a service tech at Savannah, Georgia, H.D.

Will the K-N filter fit on my SE backplate....or do i have to buy the whole kit.Does anyone have the part #s and price?

I use the K&N cleaner. Spray it on, wait 15 min, rinse it from the inside - out, & let it air dry. Don't oil it like a K&N!
