I can't believe I waited to get the Ultra as long as I did. I got my 08 Labor Day 07 and now have 8600 miles on it. No problems wexcept one - I can't ride it as much as I want because of needing sleep and the job!
I've had mine since last August. Best motorcycle I've ever owned. Smooth as silk, the fly by wire throttle is awesome. I am yet to find anything about this bike that I don't like.
You won't be disappointed if you pull the trigger!
I got my 08 ultra last Oct. and I have about 4500 miles on the bike. I love my bike but there is a few issues. First there is a bit of a heat problem on the right side and bothers my leg. The second problem is there seems to be a little bit of hesitation taking off from a stop after the bike warms up. That being said , I really enjoy riding this motorcycle.
The '06 and '07 models were NFG IMO. '05's were the last m.y. of the decent 88's. I'm liking what I am seeing with these new '08's. Time will tell. If you cna afford the '08 - do it.
As to Fit, Finish andOperationally...its the best bike I have owned. I have been riding most of the last 40 years, so that includes probably about 12 different bikes.
As far as comfort and handling...still the best bike I have owned. I would have to think hard to come up with a complaint at this point.
Oh yea I have one, everything you want to put on it costs near or over a Hunerd dollars, wait that describes all Harleys doesnt it? LOL
